Brief → decide → handoff
A Design × AI loop that ends in a decision and a shippable handoff, not a pile of generations.
Purpose
Most “AI design” sessions die as screenshots. This profi spine forces a written brief, a small explore set, an explicit decide gate, then a handoff that a human or Code Connect path can ship. It is the track we use when Design × AI must produce something the catalog can defend.
Steps
1. **Brief** — one job, one audience, one success check. No tool yet.
2. **Explore** — bounded generations or variants (time-box). Tag each with why it might win.
3. **Decide** — pick one direction; write the reject reasons. No silent “keep all”.
4. **System pass** — map to tokens/components if a DS exists; otherwise note the gap (`tokens-for-agents`).
5. **Handoff** — Figma/MCP or Code Connect path, or a written acceptance checklist for eng.
When to use / Skip
Use when a stakeholder expects a design outcome this week. Skip when you only need a mood board or a vendor bake-off — then stay in Design resources and do not open this workflow.
