Research → prototype bridge
Pipe cited insights into Make/agent context — design with evidence on the canvas.
Purpose
Dovetail↔Figma Make connectors and Maze MCP exist so research does not die in a slide deck. Medium bridge: the prototype prompt carries cited themes, not “make it user friendly.” Athenahealth-style MCP research connectors are the pattern; we require a human to name which study and which themes enter the canvas.
Steps
1. **Freeze themes** — from `research-repo-ask` or `study-build-moderate`; max five bullets with cites.
2. **Connect the repo** — Make connector / Maze MCP / equivalent; auth to the right project only.
3. **Prompt with @context** — reference named sessions/themes; ask for IA or copy changes tied to those cites.
4. **Diff against themes** — reject generations that ignore or contradict the evidence packet.
5. **Hand forward** — export the prototype + theme list into `brief-decide-handoff` or `spec-ai-prototype`.
When to use / Skip
Use when research and design tools can share MCP/connectors. Skip when research lives only in PDFs with no repo — synthesize manually first. Falsifier: if the prototype cannot point to a cite for a contested UI choice, the bridge failed.
