Supergateway bridges MCP over SSE and stdio transports — plumbing that exposes local MCP servers to remote agent hosts. It is transport glue in the MCP ecosystem. Relevant when desktop/local tools must be reached by cloud workers (or vice versa). Put authentication and allowlists in front; a bridge without policy is an attack path. Run MCP stdio servers over SSE and SSE over stdio. AI gateway. Supergateway runs MCP stdio-based servers over SSE (Server-Sent Events) or WebSockets (WS) with one command. This is useful for remote access, debugging, or connecting to clients when your MCP server only supports stdio.
