This feature is the agent's hands. It covers every mechanism that lets an agent read from or write into external systems: native SaaS connectors, OAuth-authenticated actions, custom tools, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and MCP-compatible tool servers.
In an agentic OS it is the driver layer between the reasoning loop and company reality — email, ERP, banks, scanners, project systems, calendars. Without it, the OS can only narrate; with it, the OS can propose and (when gated) execute.
Company delays often come from work that nobody typed into a board. Tool calling is how observation and action enter the ledger without double entry. For the estimating corridor and finance volume stages, this is how client requests, invoices, and approvals become events the OS can count.
