Orchestration is the control flow of multi-step work. It covers DAGs/graphs, state machines, durable workflows, branching on conditions, retries, compensation, human gates embedded in the flow, and the combination of deterministic nodes with LLM agent nodes.
In an agentic OS this is how a case moves from observation to proposal to gated execution to verification — without relying on a person to remember the next chase email.
Pain 3 (humans operate the machine) is mostly orchestration work people do today: check, chase, route, verify, reprioritise. Replacing Monday means the workflow engine sits on truth, not on typed status columns.
