Apache AGE adds graph query (openCypher) capabilities to PostgreSQL — knowledge-graph patterns without leaving Postgres. Attractive for agentic OS installs that want graph relations (dependencies, org chains) beside relational ledgers. Graph database optimized for fast analysis and real-time data processing. It is provided as an extension to PostgreSQL. For Apache AGE, treat autonomy claims as contingent on tool reliability, memory, and human gates; measure loop cost and recovery before promoting it from demo to production path.
In this catalog it is the Knowledge Graphs option when you need to query typed entities and relationships. Keep Apache AGE on the observe/propose side of the loop: useful signals and drafts, with human or policy authority still required before anything irreversible runs.
Entities and edges are written via Cypher/GQL/SQL; queries traverse relationships to support retrieval or reasoning beyond vector similarity.
