LlamaIndex is a data framework connecting LLMs to private data: ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and agentic RAG workflows, with a large connector ecosystem (open-core). Default choice for knowledge-heavy agents. For LlamaIndex, treat autonomy claims as contingent on tool reliability, memory, and human gates; measure loop cost and recovery before promoting it from demo to production path. Prefer primary docs and the evidence rows on this page over secondary summaries when deciding adoption order.
In this catalog it is the RAG option when you need to ground model answers in retrieved company documents. Keep LlamaIndex on the observe/propose side of the loop: useful signals and drafts, with human or policy authority still required before anything irreversible runs.
Ingest parsers chunk and embed content into a store; at query time the pipeline retrieves, optionally reranks, and feeds context into the LLM.
