Mastra is a TypeScript-first agent framework with agents, tools, graph workflows, memory, RAG, MCP, evaluation, and deployment integrations aimed at server-side JavaScript/TypeScript applications. It brings the “full agent stack in one SDK” idea to the Node ecosystem the way LangChain/Pydantic-AI do for Python. For an agentic OS, Mastra matters when worker fleets are TS-heavy (Next.js portals, Node automations) and you want typed tools plus MCP without maintaining a parallel Python-only SDK.
In this catalog it is the Frameworks option when you need to compose multi-step agent loops and tool handoffs. Keep Mastra on the observe/propose side of the loop: useful signals and drafts, with human or policy authority still required before anything irreversible runs.
Mastra is a TypeScript agent framework: agents, tools, graph workflows, memory, RAG, MCP, and eval hooks for server-side JS.
